• Smithfield Rib Super Series Event!
The 2013 Atlanta BAR-B-Q Festival is a Smithfield Rib Super Series
event. Participating teams can register for a chance to win bonus prize money as a top three finisher in the Rib Category. In addition to bonus prize money, Smithfield® will provide two FREE racks of Smithfield spareribs to any registered team competing in the Smithfield Rib Super Series. Teams who wish to participate in the points chase will receive points based upon their finishing position at their best four events of the series. The three qualifying teams with the highest point total overall will win bonus Grand prize money out of the $15,200 prize purse. • World Food Championship
The 2013 Atlanta BAR-B-Q Festival is a qualifying event for the World Food Championships
in Las Vegas Oct 31-Nov 2. The winner of the Atlanta BAR-B-Q Festival's Pork and Desert Categories will both receive FREE competition entry to the World Food Championships event.
• World BBQ Festival
The 2013 Atlanta BAR-B-Q Festival is a qualifying event for the World BBQ Festival in Sweden, May 2015. Airfare not included, but the event will loan equipment and give discounted hotels.

FRIDAY: Drumstick Dine Around
Chicken Drumstick Samples

Starting at 6pm on Friday night eight (8) of our competitive BAR-B-Q Teams will be serving up chicken drumsticks for $2 each while supplies last! Samples can be purchased at participating team booths. Just look for the BLUE flags at each team booth which will designate participating team booths that have samples to sell. When the flags come down there's no more drumstick samples so get 'em early!
Participating teams include: Characters, Deep South, Taylor'd BBQ, Smokey Tales and Under Construction (more to come!)
SATURDAY: Taste of the Pig
On Saturday, while supplies last, purchase $1 pulled pork and whole hog samples at participating team booths. Sampling starts at 12 noon and continues while supplies last. More than 20 teams will be offering up samples during the day. Look for the blue flags on participating team booths which will designate that they have samples to sell. Did we mention samples are limited? Enjoy them while you can as they will sell out!
Event ticket provides admission only and does not include food cost or BBQ samples.
